Those Low grades in College

This article was rather interesting to me because I strongly agree that some individuals are book smart, and some individuals are hands on smart. A friend of mine is an educator and book smart, but could not put something, such as a desk together. In the article, Those Low Grades in College May Haunt Your Job Search, a lady named Ms. Teresa Corey Black states that "Hiring managers who use GPA's as a major success predictor do not understand the full capacity of humal potential." I have to say, I agree with her when it comes to employers that look at applicants resume.

So, what are your opinions on this topic?

  1. I agree with you completely. That article bothered me to find out that more and more companies are starting to look at GPA first and foremost. I don't find it a fair representation of a person's abilities. Obviously I do understand that GPA does show something about a person, but a person could be a very hard worker, have a great personality, but just has a difficult time with exams in school.
